Electrical - Mechanical Field Service Technician / Engineer

Austin Staffing, Inc. is hiring a Electric Mechanical Field Service Engineer for our client in North Austin, TX.

This is a Direct Hire position with strong benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, and 401K.

Responsibilities:

Observe equipment, listening for issues, executing various test cycle operations, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Complete preventive maintenance requirements on equipment while following site-specific procedures and operation manuals.

Perform site-specific projects, as assigned by the EIC and/or SC (i.e., assistance in writing or verifying procedures, information retrieval for ongoing investigations, etc.)

Ensure proper tracking of parts used to ensure consignment inventory accuracy. Follow proper stock handling procedures.

Requirements:

Must be willing to initially attend 3 to 6 weeks of training out of state

Prior experience working in a clean room environment

Willingness to work 4 days x 12 hours a day week one, and then 3 days x 12' hours a day week two

Must be able to work any Day, Night, weekends and Holidays.

Must be capable of wearing clean room coveralls, hood, goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes while on the production floor.

Require both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on assigned tasks without direct supervision.

Require excellent systematic troubleshooting skills, judgment, and problem-solving skills to resolve diverse projects with the ability to handle problems independently and implement corrective action.

Ability to react to changes proactively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with clarity and interface effectively with customers and peers.

Display broad-based customer focus and commitment to resolve problems and make decisions based upon the priority of the problem in relation to business needs.

AS degree, technical certificate, or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years related work experience desired.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Must be capable of traveling to various project sites.

Must be able to pass a criminal background and a drug test
