LabVIEW Electrical Engineer

A great client of Austin staffing Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a permanent position in Cedar Park, Texas (just north of Austin) The Engineer will be responsible for product design, development and management. In addition, this Engineer will provide assistance to Manufacturing and Service by delivering design solution packages for manufacturing and technical support during the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
•    LabVIEW systems engineering software programming
•    Design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment
•    Oversee manufacturing process of devices, systems and equipment to ensure that projects are completed within standard and on time
•    Use computer drafting programs to generate two- and three- dimensional drawings of devices, systems and equipment
•    Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects
•    Troubleshoot issues and develop action plans to necessary meet requirements and improved the product and its processes
•    Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities
•    Supervising or training project team members

Accountabilities:
•    Design and development activity on assigned projects
•    Provide technical assistance for Sales and the end customer
•    Support the production of designed parts and assemblies
•    Maintain assigned equipment and work area in accordance with procedures and standards

Knowledge & Competence:
•    Extensive LabVIEW programming skills and experience is a must
•    Effective communication and interpersonal skills
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to handle multiple projects in a timely fashion

Education & Experience:
•    LabVIEW experience is a must (certification from National Instruments is a plus!)
•    Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
•    5+ years of related experience
•    Knowledge of Engineering systems (AutoCAD, Solidworks or other 3D modeling)
•    Oilfield related experience an asset
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
